Delightful is a good description. The hotel is well located in the central tourist district, making lots of things to do within walking distance. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, breakfast was a highlight for us. Our room was comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed our stay - special thanks to Ana who couldn't do enough for us.
We were looked after very well here, the manager Anna sorting out a cake and flowers before i arrived for a birthday. We tool the room with a balcony which is more but is quite special. Bathroom was also amazing with a brick vaulted ceiling. Breakfast very nice on balcony. For those looking for a place on a reasonable European budget I would say this was a very nice option.
Amazing all around. I am picky but this place was great. Spacious room and large jacuzzi. The view was phenomenal as well. The location could not have been better for our time in Oaxaca.
We really enjoyed our stay here at the Hotel Casa Catrina and will happily return if we are in the area. I only gave it 4 stars to point out some improvements that would raise it's status in my eyes. First, our likes. Wonderful staffing with Elizabeth's friendly personality making us feel at home. Excellent daily cleaning that often occurred as we ate breakfast in their courtyard restaurant. A large room with a great balcony on the Green room made for a comfortable stay. Now the improvements. The coffee was weak and skipped it after the first day. Our room was dark making it hard for me to read without my glasses. The room was large and could use a comfortable couch making it a place you'd like to lounge. I don't like having room safes that are not attached and can easily be carried away. But don't let my few complaints stop you from staying there. It is a lovely place to stay.
This hotel has the best staff in all of Oaxaca. It's got spacious rooms,, beautiful terrace, great location and awesome breakfast!
This was our second time staying at Casa Catrina and it was again an outstanding experience. The rooms are comfortable and spacious (definitely worth getting one with a balcony if you plan to spend time at the hotel). It is centrally located close to all the restaurants and shops downtown, but in a quieter part of the street, which is good for sleeping. The staff is outstanding; Ana at the front desk was a delight to work with. Breakfast is delicious and freshly made (including freshly-squeezed juices!). Will absolutely be going back!
